How to Install a In-Hull Transducer?

My in hull mount transducer from my Cutwater 28 became loose and broke off due to the epoxy glue cracking. When I pressed transducer tight to the hull surface it gives no reading. Can you help? Thanks!

You need to have no air between the hull and the transducer. Transducer manufactures commonly change their recommendations, but we have had good success using mineral oil. Make sure the transducer base is well sealed to the hull and follow the manufacturer’s recommendation exactly for lasting results.
