The Wire Between My Outboard Engine and the Battery Is Too Short, How Do I Splice It?

Hi there, I have this question and it would be great if you can help. I am rewiring my 6 meter boat and I need to put a splice between the outboard engine and the battery since the engine wire is cut short. Any advice on that? - George

Answer:

I would recommend a BlueSea Dual PowerPost Connector.  It provides a termination point for extending the length of outboard harnesses or other conductors.  It is designed for connecting high amp conductors and includes one black and one red insulator.  https://www.bluesea.com/products/category/28/105/PowerPost_Connectors/Dual_PowerPost?
