Where do Charging and Loads Connections go on a Battery Bank?

Question:

I have a DC House panel battery bank, three batteries all like in size, capacity, class and wired in parallel with 1/0 wire equal length. In order to get a balanced charge and a balanced draw where are the charger leads connected and where do I connect the draw?  - Drew

Answer:

Hi Drew, my advice is to have the positive and negative leads at opposite ends of the battery bank. Some techs recommend that loads and charging be at opposite ends of the bank. We have never done this, and we simply have all the positive loads and charging at one end and all the negative loads and charging circuits at the opposite end.  - Jeff
