Where Should I Install my Battery isolator?

I want to install a Victron Argo fet battery isolator on my boat for 3 battery banks. What is the best location to install the isolator ( within engine compartment (diesel) ) or elsewhere? Limited space available. Thanks, Ed

Hi Ed, the location of the battery isolator doesn’t matter as long as you try to keep to the wire-runs between alternator to battery isolator to batteries reasonably short. In other words, try to minimize the cabling length to avoid having to size the wiring larger to offset for voltage drop. - Jeff
